The jury found the hotel was legally justified in the detention pursuant to Nevada’s citizen’s arrest statute.
Bianca Gonzalez recently settled a case in favor of a commercial tenant against a property management company for misrepresentations prior to the commencement of a commercial lease and for failure to remedy certain conditions on the property which interfered with the tenant’s business enterprise.
Bianca Gonzalez successfully defended an appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit against her client, a major insurance carrier. The lower court had granted summary judgment in a high profile case in favor of the insurance carrier finding it did not have a duty to defend or indemnify an health care professional who engaged in willful and intentional criminal misconduct. The victim of the health care professional appealed the decision as a third-party beneficiary. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the lower court ruling.
